i don't really know you,so i can't speak for what i haven't seen of you on the internet.but i can say this...
your art is pretty damn good,but i still think that the way you draw muscles is unique,scary,and damn weird,and sometimes doesn't even really look natural.but if your style is how you roll,then i won't object to it.

After reading most of these comments here, there isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said. This will be the 60th time you've read this I'm sure, but your style is very distnct, and I love that. The way you draw anything (be it your characters, skwissgar, or otherwise,) is intense, it has definite shape, form, and everything flows. I love the way you draw muscles; they're defined, yet lean, so as not to be reminiscent of DBZ characters (who look like they might explode if they do so much as blink). I love how you give every character you draw fan art of a little tweak, but only just...it's enough to where if we see it, we know that's yours, but it's within the frame of the character enough to appear realistic (i.e., Skwissgar's cigarette, Toki's tongue ring).

I don't know what goes on in the fandom world. I chose not to be apart of it simply because of all the people that abuse the power of distance and anonymity the internet gives them to insult and belittle. I haven't seen much, but you deal with these people so gracefully, and full of humor and I admire that. (Seriously though, can you imagine what would happen if people channeled all the fandom-flame fervor into something on a larger scale? Like world hunger? or Politics? That'd either be really good or really bad I guess...)


Oh, btw, I'm not sure if you saw my comment before, but a friend tels me adult swim did a dethklok fan art bumper, and used one of you pictures of skwissgar ('m not sure which one). They said he vaguely resembled Madonna XD.

I believe everything that has been said already is valid and intelligent (Save for the few that decide to be little brats and try to stuff you, the round peg, into a square hole like most other artists.)

Your art has its flaws - all artists have them. Penises aside, you know you've got trouble with your ribs. I also have issue with how you parse nose from forehead. It's just distracting. However, I will commend your ability to draw joints, muscles, hands and feet.

I see you breaking out of your stagnant approach to things, and you're working on expressions. A lot can be said for that, and I commend you wholeheartedly for your work in that particular field. It's a good way to go.


As for your lackeys as one goofball called them, I'd like to point out that you don't HAVE lackeys. There IS someone who basically manipulated someone else into doing something to others, trying to break up their friendship. That someone wasn't you. That someone KNOWS who they are. The someone else is me. And I feel so horribly for that, you have no clue.

I'm guessing you know who I am, and those who are involved know this, too. I can not apologize enough for being a complete and utter tool. I blocked the one who manipulated me on AIM, and have not spoken to her since. I dislike being used like I was. I was sticking up for a friend, and I become the enemy of my other friends and acquaintances.


Enough with the drama, ladies and gents. Hallo's art is Hallo's art. The fandom's spiralling into nagas and mpreg, and you find it en vogue to continue griping about shit that happened months ago. If you want to make a stand, make a fucking stand against Do Not Want, not shit that's already been apologized for and gnaws at someone every day.

2) I don't know shit about you, so I can only judge what I see of your art online :D I don't know you in the fandom or any other way but your pictures.
There was an up and down with me viewing your art. I could never settle down on a feeling that I could attach to the way you draw. One day I disliked it (I even did an overpaint of one pic long ago, just because it itched me so, hahaha) the other day I was impressed with the fluedity of lines. With the strong connection you seemed to have to your art - and Skwisgaar in particular. I see your fetishes when you draw things and what you perceive as beautiful. That not everybody can agree on it is quite natural (Hell, I don't even like all the body-modifactions myself, irks me to no end). And as long as you don't do art as professional, pfff, so who cares? Because if you *enjoy* yourself all is well. At least in my opinion. Becoming obsessed with being perfect and getting better will lead down a path of destruction. I've seen it happen, the ease and joy feels absent in such pictures, too technical. People can feel that even if the picture might look perfect.
Improvement comes with time, when feeling passionately about things. I have noticed that it is little use if people point out the mistakes. Because you have not seen them *yourself*. You need to experience mistakes in drawings yourself, recognize them as what they are fully and not just think "yeah, XYZ pointed out the legs are too short. She/He's right, but I never saw it." Maybe you will remember it for the next few pictures, but oops. On the fifth you do it again. I'm not saying critique is bad, it's very useful. But I think you must put all your concentration on it if you want to get rid of a mistake very quickly. Does this even make sense?

Whine, whine, whine. I had no idea, untill I looked here, you had "ruined" the fandom. That seems like a pretty big achievement for one artist.
I don't know you personally and I guess I'm not deep enough into the fandom because I have NO IDEA what the drama is about. To me, you're just an excellent artist who draws rather hot Metalocalypse artwork, albeit, with horse cocks. Some of the work is kind of similar, but you know, I have that problem too. It's just something to work on.

It would be a shame to see you stop uploading your work.

Hey I know I'm late to the party here but I'd just like to say that you honestly inspire me to draw better. No this isn't a 'circle-jerk' or 'worshipping' case here, it's just honesty. Yeah the anatomy is off, and junk but I'll be DAMNED if anyone in this fandom does it perfectly! x.x Odin God...it's just your style anyway and I happen to like it. :D

But yeah, you've always been really nice to me, so I really respect you and shit.

Actually, fuck anonymity...I don't really care for it anyway. :D
