Haha..) but what I like about you more is your open mindedness toward critique and criticism. It says a lot about the artist if they're willing to hear negative opinions about their work, and even more when they keep said opinions in mind when trying to improve. I can identify when people say that your work has a repetitive nature, since I've struggled with the same issues in my drawings, and it makes me happy to see you attempt to change that.
Admittedly, I could care less for cartoon erotica, but all your other compositions are always a treat to see. You make such confident lines when you draw. I bet you'd do really well with a brush.
Nnnyeah. That's about all I got.

Date: 2008-04-24 04:55 pm (UTC)Yup, I have no problem with critique as long as it's constructive. After all, someone shouting "Your art sucks" doesn't really address the issues that need to be corrected to make it suck less, right? *snicker*
But yeah, I'm more than willing to work on things to make them better as long as there isn't too much compromise on my style. I don't want to get lost in the sea of similar art ;)
And oh man... I haven't tried painting (or any other traditional media) in ages. I'm gonna try it again one day when I can afford the supplies :3

Date: 2008-04-24 08:59 pm (UTC)I wouldn't worry about losing your style. As long as you're still pursuing your works with passion, they'll still have your mark. There's also a lot of subtle things in your drawings that always scream to me, "This is Hallo's stuff!".
Hahah, I know how pricey supplies can be. However, I've developed quite a fondness for cheap materials. They may not have the longevity of the more expensive stuff, but they can yield decent works if you want them to. Personally, I've grown quite attached to using coffee to stain and color things. It's a neutral color, so it matches everything, and it gives the picture a neat antique vibe. I hear tea can do the same things, but I've yet to use that myself.
